I am a regular dude from Singapore learning to make passive income with Stock Trading, Forex and Internet Marketing. I will share my progress, my thoughts and ranting on those interesting issues surrounding us these days.

Alex-Ang.com will serve primarily as a journal of my Stocks and Forex trading. However, there will not be any tips or recommendation as I do not believe in them and I am no guru to offer any!

A little more about me

Well, if the short summarized introduction above does not quench your curiosity, I’m going to give you more bits about myself and if you feel bored reading it..you have been warned!!

I have always been captivated by the power of internet. Back in 2002, I am hooked to web designing and created my personal portfolio site. During that time, web designing was big business and I managed to make some money by designing websites. The only complaint was to surf the internet with the pathetic speed of a 56k dial up modem!  

All was good until my previous webhost failed to renew my domain name promptly and it became Enom.com’s property. When I notified Enom of my webhost’s mistake, Enom wanted to sell the domain to me for a profit maybe because my website had some decent traffic back then. 

I offered them a hundred bucks but they wanted thousands! Crap! It left me with no choice but to start a new website with another domain name. However, I did not manage to complete anything as the thought of building everything from sketch again is plain demoralizing. So, this site is almost 7 years behind schedule.

Fast forward to recent years, creating and updating of website is a breeze with the help of Content Management System like WordPress. Internet has also changed many ways we do things and provide opportunities for many. In the past, people are skeptical to make online purchases but look at how big eBay and Amazon are today. Many things can be done via a mouse click.

Personally, I feel that the best thing is everybody can now trade Indices, Options, Stocks or Forex comfortably at home with the mass availability of online brokers. Gone are the days when one has to rely on those over-the-phone brokers to execute any desired trades.

Creating passive income

A day job merely provides active income which is not enough in the world we live in today. With only one income, it will take forever for anyone to attain financial independent. After deducting the necessary expenses, most people will save up the rest in their banks and hope it will become a tidy sum after a couple of years. However, even a typical fixed 12 months deposit only earns a measly 2% interests and according to IMF, Singapore inflation rate in 2008 alone was 4.7%!! 

Therefore, everybody should be looking at different ways and means to generate passive income. If you are totally clueless about it, I would strongly recommend that you pick up any of these books for inspiration. 

For myself, I am generating passive income by trading Stocks and Forex with T3B system. Internet Marketing is another method that I use to make money. I know some people will feel that trading is a high risk game and I admit too – It is. All forms of trading or investing have certain level of risks but if you do your homework well, the calculated risk can pay off handsomely. Since 2008, my trading account has been managing some healthy ROI. Although it is still not profitable enough for me to ditch my day job, I do believe I am on the right track towards that goal.
