A South Korean woman finally earned her well deserved driving license on the 960th attempt. The 69 year old Cha Sa-soon has passed the driving test last month on her 10th try. Prior to the driving test, she has taken the written (theory) test for a record of 950 tries! Yup, you read that right – she took the same test for 950 times before scoring a necessary 60 percent to pass.

This admirable grandmother wanted her driver’s license so badly that she had gone to take the written test nearly every single day since April 2005. In total, she had spent more than 5 million Korean Won which is around 4.4k USD on the application fees for the written test alone. Apart from her persistence, she was absolutely clear of her goal and went all out to achieve it. She wanted the driving license so she can improve her vegetable-selling business with a vehicle.

If you relate the story to Internet Marketing, the same theory applies too. Most people acknowledge that certain group of Internet Marketers are making multiple streams of income online. And if given the chance, they would want to be making this sort of passive income too. But sadly, most of these wannabes gave up before they can make any money.

The common excuses are – “I don’t know how to start, I don’t know how this Internet Marketing crap works, I am not getting any traffic, I am not getting any sales, I am not seeing any money, it is taking too long to see any results etc”. There are even sceptics who claimed that Internet Marketing is dead. I say these people are living in a man hole! The point here is that Rome is not build in a day and we can’t build castle in the sky.

Do you have a goal in mind?

Many people will answer YES and their ultimate goal is to make money online! If the goal is set, stick to it and work out all the objectives in order to attain it. I strongly believe that if you want something bad enough, you will get it eventually as your mind would be extremely focused. The problem today is that we are hit by countless new ways and methods to make money online. With these distractions, people will find it harder to stick to the intended route to their goals.

A typical scenario – new internet marketer has chosen Auto Blogging to achieve his Internet goal at the start. And of course, one of his objectives will be the usual bits of getting traffics and back links to his blogs. But after doing these for a while and the money fails to roll in, he will start to think otherwise. The negative thoughts like – “This is a waste of time, should I be doing something else instead, I am just one of those newbie who fails to make money, Perhaps I should try that new money making methods etc” will start to creep in.

Don’t be bothered by these negative thoughts or all the previous hard works will be wasted. For the above scenario, the internet marketer may be just a step short to the gold. If he is committed to his goal like the gung ho grandmother did for her driving license without giving out, he might be seeing results sooner than he expected. So always keep your goal and objectives align and success is just a matter of time!
